Are Dynamic Doppler's safe to use?
The FDA regulates Ultrasound Doppler's, and has regulated them to be safe for continual use. The Mayo Clinic states, "In 30 years of regular use, no adverse effects have ever been demonstrated from ultrasound testing. Research has been done investigating both the noise produced in utero and the heat produced by ultrasound, and no problems have ever been detected from its use in exposed babies. There is no reason to feel uncomfortable about the use of ultrasound during pregnancy and there are great benefits to using it. To further insure the safety and integrity of Ultrasound Doppler's the FDA requires your caregivers approval prior to in-home use.

How early can the Dynamic Doppler detect the baby's heartbeats?

Both of the Dynamic Doppler fetal Doppler's can begin hearing the baby's heartbeat around 10-12 weeks into the pregnancy.  Ladies who are over weight and/or have a tilted uterus may not hear the heartbeat until 12-14 weeks.

How often can I use the Dynamic Doppler?
The FDA regulates ultrasound Doppler's to be safe for continuous use. We suggest you discuss the usage of the Dynamic Doppler with your caregiver, and use the Dynamic Doppler in a manner you feel comfortable with.

I've been hearing a lot about 'going green,' what is Dynamic Doppler doing to help the 'going green' campaign?  We are proud to admit that we have always tried our best to be creative in the reuse of items in both our shipping department and in our office.  We reuse scrap paper to print orders, we also reuse many boxes, instruction manuals, CD's and we even wash and sanitize our packaging foam for reuse.  We do not reuse gel due to sanitary reasons, and every Doppler is still cleaned and sanitized with the highest quality cleansing agents.  We try to be creative, but not at the expense of providing you a quality rental or buying experience and never at the expense of offering a safe and clean Doppler for your use.

Do the Doppler's have warranties?

Rental units are covered for failure not caused by the renter.  If you think you might damage the Doppler during rental you should consider the rental insurance that can be purchased during the checkout process.  Rental insurance can not be purchased once the unit has shipped from our facility.  Purchased units: Doppler's purchased at the "Used" discounted price are covered under a limited 3 month warranty from date of purchase.  Doppler's purchased at the "new" price are covered under a limited 3 year warranty from date of purchase.  Warranties do not cover theft or loss of the unit or misuse or mistreatment of the unit.  Warranties are not transferable.

What if I can't find the heartbeat?
Don't Panic! Your baby could just be positioned in a way that the Doppler can't locate the heart beat. You can also check out our tips for success page. Also feel free to contact us at info@dynamicdoppler.com or by calling 1-800-476-6211.

How fast should my baby's heart rate be?
The baby's heartbeat is usually between 120 and 180 beats per minute. Your heartbeat usually ranges between 60 and 90 beats per minute. If you have the Standard Unit, you can count the heartbeat for 10 seconds and multiply that number by 6. This technique will give you the beats per minute. If you have the Dynamic Doppler Display Unit, you can see the beats per minute on the Digital LCD. screen.

I'm pregnant with twins, can I still use the Doppler?

You can still use the Doppler with twins.  Early in the pregnancy it may be difficult to differentiate between the different baby's.  Doctors try and listen to the sound difference of the 2 heartbeats.  As the babies grow and take up different areas in the uterus, it becomes easier to locate and listen to each baby separately.

Do I need special Ultrasound Gel or Lotion?
All units are shipped with 1 tube (2oz) of Ultrasound Gel. If you run out you can try any water based body lotion or KY Jelly, or purchase more Ultrasound Gel from us.  Please do not use oil based products.

What if the Dynamic Doppler power light (Standard Doppler) or LCD Display (Digital Doppler) is flashing?
If the power light is flashing you will need to replace the 9 volt alkaline battery.  If the Digital LCD Display is flashing the battery needs to be replaced with a 9 volt alkaline battery.

What if the Dynamic Doppler Display Unit shuts off during operation?
The Display Unit automatically shuts off after three minutes, if it is not in use, or if the heartbeat signals are too faint for detection. Also, the battery may need to be replaced.

Is there a minimum or maximum monthly rental period for the Dynamic Doppler?
No, you have the option of renting the Dynamic Doppler for as many months as you like. All current rental fees apply towards the new unit purchase price. If you rent the unit long enough the new unit purchase price will be met, your account will be closed out and you will own the Doppler.

I live in another country can I still rent or buy the Dynamic Doppler?
Currently due to high duties, taxes and shipping, we do not rent to over seas locations. We only rent to United States, Canada and U.S. Military Bases. Over seas locations can purchase the Doppler, and you will be responsible for all duties and/or taxes when the unit is delivered.

Is my personal information kept safe, rented or sold to others?
Dynamic Doppler uses your information for ordering and billing purposes only. Dynamic Doppler will not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever! All credit card transactions are processed through a secure socket layer (SSL) server and are processed through Americard Processing Systems, Inc. All credit card and personal information is kept confidential between Dynamic Doppler and (you) the customer.
